POSITION SUMMARY

Packaging Services, Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager to join our McAdoo PA  team. Through hands-on leadership, the Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our production facility including Production, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving.  The Plant Manager develops strategic business initiatives and the annual operating budget for the plant. This position reports to the Operations Manager based in the Corporate Headquarters located in Williamsport, MD.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Safety First Mentality.
  • 5 years (minimum) of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, project management & planning skills.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.
  • Reviews and evaluates existing methods, systems, programs, practices and procedures; develops and recommends changes as necessary
  • Knowledge of 5S and LEAN Manufacturing.
  • Mentors, coaches, trains and develops leadership team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization with internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
