POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for self-motivated individual, with the main duties handling the custodial projects at our McAdoo, PA facility; this role can also involve supporting the production floor as needed. The primary functions of this role of custodial duties are to keep the building clean and orderly including the interior and exterior maintenance.  Performing heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, grass cutting, and removing rubbish.  This is a part-time position on first shift that can evolve into a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of custodial experience, preferably in an industrial setting. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Safety First Mentality
• Sweep, mop, scrub, strip and polish floors, carpeted areas, sweep and shampooing.
• Wash walls, windows, stairways and woodwork (which may require working from a ladder)
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture and equipment back in correct placement
• Clean, sanitize and deodorize restrooms and restock restroom supplies
• Empty wastebaskets and remove trash inside the building and also around the outside of the building
• Empty containers for paper and other materials set aside for the County recycling program, bring recyclables to the designated collection area and place in appropriate storage containers
• Maintain cleanliness of employee break rooms
• Interior and exterior building maintenance (window cleaning, grass cutting)
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task
• Assist in special projects, performing general labor to support operation requirements as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 + year experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting
• Knowledge of proper types of custodial equipment, cleaning agents, sanitizing chemicals and protective gear to use in all types of cleaning work, and the ability to use them safely
• Knowledge of (or ability to learn) the use and operation of a standard buffer, vacuum cleaner, and other related equipment
• Physical ability for constant walking, moving, reaching and making repetitive motions; frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling up to and over 40 pounds.
• Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and protective footwear

Starting pay range is $17 - $18 with opportunity for overtime dependent upon business needs.
